Mastopexy (Breast Lift)
Gravity, pregnancy, weight gain, weight
loss, breast-feeding and aging can all take a toll on a womans breast.
The firmness, elasticity and youthful positioning of the breasts can change
over time. Mastopexy, also called a breast lift, is a surgical procedure
to raise and reshape sagging breasts. Mastopexy can also reduce the size
of an enlarged, stretched areola, which is the darker skin around the
nipple. The best results are usually achieved in women whose weight is
stable and have completed having children.
If youre considering breast lift surgery,
the process begins with the consultation. In assessing your overall health
and the physical characteristics of your breasts (such as the size, volume,
symmetry, skin characteristics and nipple size) a plan can be formulated
to achieve the best result for you.
