Breast Augmentation (Enlargement)
     One of the most frequently performed surgical procedures in Plastic Surgery is Breast Augmentation. Many women choose to have their breasts enlarged to enhance their breast size and shape. This allows for the more proportioned figure they’ve always wanted. Breast augmentation enhances the body contour. It can correct a reduction in breast volume after pregnancy and can balance a difference in breast size.

     If you’re considering breast augmentation, the process begins with the consultation. In assessing your overall health and the physical characteristics of your breasts (such as the size, volume, symmetry, skin characteristics and nipple position) a plan can be formulated to achieve your best result. After listening to your expectations and desires Dr. Bounds will make a recommendation personalized to you.

A Personal Decision
     Every year thousands of women undergo successful breast augmentation. The decision to pursue breast augmentation is a very personal and important one. The factors that will affect your decision are unique to you.

The Surgery
     As an outpatient, Dr. Bounds and his Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist have your safety and comfort in mind. After surgery in the Operating Suite, you will awake from the surgery in the Recovery Room, attended by a Registered Nurse. Once you’re fully awake you may then go home with a family member or trusted close friend.

     Typically, you should be able to return to work within four to seven days, depending on the level of activity required for your job. Aerobic activities may be restricted for two to three weeks.
