Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)

Plastic Surgery of the abdomen, called Abdominoplasty, is designed to help individual’s achieve the goal of a smoother, flatter abdomen. Abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure to remove the excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen. The underlying musculature of the abdominal wall is also tightened at that time. This procedure can dramatically reduce the appearance of a protruding abdomen. It can give you a flatter, firmer, tighter stomach and thinner waist.

The best candidates for abdominoplasty are individuals who are not obese and whose weight is stable. The surgery is particularly helpful to women whose abdominal muscles have been stretched by multiple pregnancies. Loss of skin elasticity, frequently found in older individuals and in people who have lost a substantial amount of weight, can also be greatly improved.

If you’re considering abdominoplasty, the process begins with the consultation. In assessing your overall health, and determining the extent of fat deposits in your abdominal region, a plan can be formulated to achieve the best result for you.
